Ms. Snyer McKenna received a JD from Suffolk University Law School in 1993 and a Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross in 1990. She maintains affiliation with the Juvenile Justice Center of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Children’s Counsel, the American Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Greater Lowell Bar Association, the Massachusetts Association of Guardians Ad Litem  and the Massachusetts Juvenile Bar Association. In 2008, she received the Judge Blitzman Award as a testament to her legal acumen. She has long supported several charities, including the Merrimack Valley Catholic Charities, to which she serves as the vice-chair and as a board member. Furthermore, she is the Clerk of the Executive Board of the Greater Lowell Boys and Girls Club. Since 2005, Ms. Snyer McKenna has served as the music director of St. Camillus Catholic Church.
